requiem

yesterday, mothrers day, missings, ONE very special frond, non provoked, acknowledged me mum in conjunction with mothrers day, i was impressed / touched / moved by the caring rememberings, it meant so very a lot.

tonight while tidying up stoodiyoh, i decided to put on music (call it an epiphany if you like), reasonably loud. duruti column's 'requiem for my mother' seeped out first, stopped me from my piddlin, immediately sucked in, stood, still, listened, felt, quietly welled.

the multiudious interweaving of various instruments and electronic sound combined with seeming non-emotive (or monotone), mournfully echoing lyrics just reaches the 'oh my glob, you got it' place regarding mums loss, for me.

the 1st time i heard the song it was quietly piping from some web radio station through my desktop speakers while working. preoccupied, i was hearing it but not. then as song was coming to a close i 'looked up' and thought ' what was that'?. i went to station web site and looked it up, bought song, played it over and over, blew my mynd. since then i have shared this song with others who have lost their mothers, it speaks to them tooh.

if any of my 2wo readers have ever lost their mothrer or another very close person (it will still be effective), i highly recommend this song in how this guy really ECHOES the sense of 'departure'. its somewhat hard to listen to yet one cannot resist. go find it, here are lyrics (its not the same without the music):
